Materials and designs for a new goldsmith collection
The city of Arezzo is characterised by an ancient and precious manufacturing tradition, which develops through art, history, and economy, and offers itself as the soul of a present that is excellence, quality, design.
The Gold Museum is located in the heart of the city and occupies several rooms in the Palace of the Fraternita dei Laici.
Here, there is a rich collection of contemporary jewellery that recounts the last thirty years of experimentation in the field of designer jewellery and is signed by Italian designers and artists.
There are more than three hundred pieces of jewellery on display: ‘unique’ and extraordinary pieces, dating from the 1970s to the first two decades of the third millennium. Each artefact shows the mastery of local craftsmen in the creation of small works of art, inspired by the creativity of international artists and designers such as Venturino Venturi, Pietro Cascella, Salvatore Fiume, Bruno Munari, Arnaldo and Giò Pomodoro.
